In this personal project Maria Giemza wanted to give three of modernist buildings a colour admonition: Centrum Warenhaus in Neustadt, Spodek – a concert hall in Katowice, and PKP Ochota – a train station in Warsaw. They often become forgotten, counting on mercy of passing time. In many cases not considered as valuable architecture. They hide their beauty in highly functional design, constructed of simple materials and forms. Modernism series of illustration is a little tribute to Maria’s favourite movement in architecture, representing three iconic buildings of this period in Poland and Germany.
